Use Cases
What Are DID and VC?

DID (Decentralized Identity) and VC (Verifiable Credential) are W3C-standardized technologies for trusted digital identity and credentials.
Unlike paper documents, PDFs, or database-bound records, they enable credentials to be securely managed across the full lifecycle: issuance, storage, presentation, and verification.
From the EU to the United States and across global industry bodies, adoption is accelerating as DID/VC becomes core infrastructure for trusted digital credentials.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it be introduced without technical knowledge?
Yes. We can set up everything here, including issuance, distribution, and verification.
What kinds of proof can be turned into a VC?
We have more than 10 template types, including admission passes, employee IDs, student IDs, qualification certificates, accommodation certificates, tourist passes, visit certificates, coupons, survey response certificates, and more.
Can it only be used if it integrates with existing systems?
First, the PoC can run on its own. If you’d like to integrate it with an existing system, we can also discuss API integration or additional development.
How does QR-based "1-second verification" work?
Using DID/VC digital signature technology, we automatically detect tampering and impersonation. You can verify validity just by scanning the QR code.
Can subsidies or budget be used?
We have examples of being selected for subsidies related to local government DX, tourism DX, and smart city initiatives. We support you from requirements definition onward.
Can we build a PoC in three weeks?
Yes. The issuance functions, verification functions, and wallet app are already in place, and if you use a template VC, you can get started right away with just the initial setup. Days 1–3: Requirements interview and template selection Days 4–10: Credential issuance setup and QR code operation check Days 11–21: On-site testing and user testing → Verification at a production-ready level is possible in as little as 3 weeks.
How can it be expanded after the PoC?
Production use is also possible with API integrations and SDKs.
Do I need a server?
No, it is not necessary. You can use the cloud environment provided by VESS (VESS Wallet/VESS Credentials) as is. No additional server setup or maintenance is required at all, but we can also set it up to match your company’s environment, so please feel free to contact us.
How much does it cost?
Starting from ¥400,000 for the smallest PoC. We’ll provide a proposal tailored to your requirements.
